* BREAKING NEWS* NFLL is now a KEEPER LEAGUE!

NFLL
OK Kids...I've come to the realization that a keeper league that keeps only one player will not work. As for the poll, today it was a 7-5 in favor of a keeper league (single player). So I know now there is more interest in the keeper league this year. What I would like to hear is the gripes, I would like everyone to post comments right now because "THIS IS NOW A KEEPER LEAGUE- everyone you draft and pick-up will be yours for next year". I would like to get this started now! I do believe there is some impact on the 2008 draft but I would like to hear the "why-nots". So really, everybody needs to convince me NOT to make this a keeper league or we are going as planned. Honestly, the OG Swoosh division members opinions are going to count more than the rookies. If you don't comment or post I am assuming you are for the change. Everything this year will be the same as last but your 2009 roster will be the same as 2008. As far as ideas go we are toying with: giving yearly or multi-year contracts to keep some players in rotation. The FA's can be entered into the draft like the Rookies or can either be kept as Free agents. Let's hear it...don't just type in "I dont like it". I need to know why.

"I Don't Like It"

I think I'm gonna have to totally disagree with the whole keeper league. You can't possibly have one person for four years. I think its just stupid. Start off from scratch with a new year and build a new roster to try to win the championship. What happens when that person gets hurt? Or when he retires? Honestly if you want keepers, go play Madden and start up a new franchise. Maybe we should do keeper leagues next year, so we can give the people don't like it a heads up so they don't pay. I wish I had two extra arms so I could give it four thumbs down.

Thank You Dandies. The reason is because your scared of losing starters to injury or retirement? Isn't that normal? That is something every team deals with. Can you expand a little further of why you don't want it?

Oh no sir Mr. Commish it was already pretty late. I would be up to keep one player drafted after a certain round to stay but to keep the whole team is just something I just dont like. I think last year we had it where you could "franchise" a player but you would lose a 9th round pick. That seemed fine. I think its just unfair if a person gets a team full of superstars and runs the table three years in a row while another team is stuck with underperforming rookies or busts. Plus I think it takes away from the element of a live draft. What happens if we do a full keeper league this year your team sucks? You're gonna say that you have to try to pick up free agents and rookies to make your team better? I don't think people will pay 75 dollars just to lose year after year. That would lead just lead to team neglect (i.e. Davy last year) which will lead to burned bridges. Think about it, everyone was pissed at USC Boogeyman last year, imagine what happens when a third of the league leaves? Will the new teams that come in have to get the sorry ass roster that was left behind? Its good if your team is good, but it sucks if your team sucks. I just don't think people will pay to lose. And what happened to all the other people who were against it? Anything to say?
