Week #1 - POWER RANKINGS

NFLL

League News - New for 2012 -

"GM of the Year"
At the end of the season you all will be asked to vote on the GM of the year. There are a few rules though...#1- you cannot vote for yourself (we would have a 16 way tie).  #2 you must take in account the GM's league input & contributions, their draft skills, free agency skills, trading skills and even their smack talk.  Winner will be awarded a special prize at the conclusion of the season.

"Coaches Poll"
Each week a poll will be taken from  a  random # of GMs who've been asked to rank the 16 teams each week.  I think this will give the other GMs some perspective how others view their squad and now the poll ranking will also be factored into the power rankings.

Daaaaaaaaaaamn its been a long time...645 days since the last power rankings to be exact.  But we are back baby!  I may be a little rusty at this so bare with me.  Again this is all hypothetical so not trying to make anybody feel bad on purpose but somebody has to be #16.  For the new guy heres a quick rundown of the power rankings.
So for example you will see:
 1.  ^  KILLA CALI  (13-0/6-0)  200ppg   [ 1 ]
The first thing you see will be your "perceived rank" by the commish along with a ^,- or v which signifies if you've increased in rank, stayed the same or decreased,  followed by your (overall record/ division record) and then your overall points per game (ppg), followed by the coaches poll rankings.
For the power rankings, like I say every year, these rankings take into account your roster, your bench depth, your ppg, Trades/FA moves, your record and who've you beaten and now your coaches poll.

AGAIN this is all for fun, take them for what they are worth.

 1.  - DIAPER DANDIES (0-0/0-0) 0 ppg  [1]
For being what some would call short-handed at the draft, Dandies does extremely well.  The "coaches" seem to agree as well.   Up first is division rival Blind Monkeys, a tough way to start the season but a way to get off on the right foot.

2.  - HaTeRs  (0-0/0-0) 0 ppg  [5]
Again the coaches seem to see the potential in this very well-rounded team.  I like what I see, this could finally be the year for HaTeRs.  Most seasons a game opener vs DB would be like an exhibition game but HaTeRs has his work cut out for him.

3.  -  KILLA CALI  (0-0/0-0) 0 ppg  [2]
Hate to jinx myself but I like what I see and the coaches are right there agreeing with me.  Opens week #1 vs old rival JERU.

4.  -  $HAIL-MARY$  (0-0/0-0) 0 ppg  [3]
Not a good sign when the champ is ranked so high this early.  A strong draft and high ranking by the coaches means trouble for the rest of us.  Vs. GH in week #1

5.  -  D's NUTZ  (0-0/0-0) 0 ppg  [7]
Next few teams were so close to one another so I thought I would go with my gut.

6.  -  THE 619ERS  (0-0/0-0) 0 ppg  [4]
This team will really need to show me some firepower this first week to hang on to this ranking. Las years rookie starts 2012 against this year's rookie (TT) in week one.

7.  -  COCOON OF HORROR  (0-0/0-0) 0 ppg  [6]
The coaches and the commish are just about seeing eye-to-eye here.  Like 619, he will really need to convince us that he deserves this grade.  Up first is IP.

8.  -  BLIND MONKEYS  (0-0/0-0) 0 ppg  [8]
This guy is always "hanging" around.  Very solid all around team.  Tough matchup to start the show vs the #1 ranked Dandies

9.  -  GO HEELS!  (0-0/0-0) 0 ppg  [10]
The talent is there. Can her squad stay injury free in 2012? If so, this could be trouble. Unlucky to draw Hail in week one.  This is a $Bounty$ game though.

10.  -  THE AGENCY  (0-0/0-0) 0 ppg  [9]
You have to respect anybody that travels 2500 miles to make the draft the morning of.  Another solid team by the agency. Looks playoff bound already.

11.  -  BUCKEYES  (0-0/0-0) 0 ppg  [11]
I kept going back and forth on this team. I hope this was a tough call for the coaches as well.  You have to factor in how this guy always does well.  There are definitely weapons on the squad, think we just need to see where hes at after week one.  This squad could definitely shoot up the charts next week.  Will go against division foe Sole in week 1.

12.  -  INDIGOPALMSSUCKS  (0-0/0-0)  0 ppg  [12]
Not a ton of moves on free agency day but IP was the first to make a trade already.

13.  -  D'OH BOYS  (0-0/0-0)  0 ppg  [13]
Think we were all surprised to see how well he did on draft day.  Kid was making moves left and right.  Now lets see if all that work pays off in the points department.  Like Buckeyes I was a little on the bubble with the kid. Need to see some production now to make me a believer.

14.  -  TRUESOLE  (0-0/0-0)  0 ppg  [13]
Again tough call to make but like that the coaches somewhat agree with me.  Have a feeling the rankings will get quite shook up after week one.

15.  -  JERU (RIP)  (0-0/0-0)  0 ppg  [15]
Was great to see him complete his very first draft ever.   Coaches are predicting a loooong season for the RU. I will will wait and see a few weeks to see what he is capable of before bye weeks hit.

16.  -  TWO-TIMES  (0-0/0-0) 0 ppg  [16]
Not bad for his first live draft ever.  Everybody is always skeptical of the FNG. There is definitely a little fire power on his roster, but only time will tell how this turns out for him.

*** GAME OF THE WEEK***
#1 Diaper Dandies  vs.  #8 Blind Monkeys
This still could be an upset.  Ranking don't mean anything in the preseason.

Finally thanks for those that attended the draft, I think it went extremely well and I hope you all had fun and enjoyed yourselves.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!
