Week #2 - Power Rankings

I really think the coaches poll was a good idea.  I like that the GM's have really gotten into it and I think it helps that their voices are heard and they can provide some input.  Again, it is random sampling of GM's.  If you haven't been asked yet, don't worry you will.  Everybody will have a chance to provide their opinion.  But please if you are asked to provide input, try to respond within 24 hours.  Also new to the poll, since I have been using at least 5 gms for the polls.  The first 5 GMs to respond will have their votes counted for another new highlight to the polls "1st place votes".  This way you will have a chance to see who is being a voted on #1 by the coaches. These will be shown after the coaches poll like so: {3} meaning three 1st place votes.   Again something new, something that hopefully adds some fun to the league.   Now that Yahoo has added their recap to their scoreboard, it will make my job a little easier.  You can see a few highlights and stats.  As a result of this you will notice the rankings getting shorter and shorter.  Sorry but they are very time consuming...Just note that Yahoo is about 7 years late. The Commish has been doing this since 2005.

1.  ^  $HAIL-MARY$  (1-0/1-0) 184 ppg  [1]  {4}
Excellent week 1 appearance.  Will have to prove that week one was not a fluke.  This week will not be easy with division rival KC up next in the first of the Cane/Able bowls. 

2.  - HaTeRs  (1-0/1-0) 143 ppg  [2]  {1}
Actually glad to see him doing well, this should provide a nice contest in the Dandies division.  Week 2 vs.  BM

3.  v  DIAPER DANDIES (1-0/1-0) 113ppg  [11]
A little of a slow start for the dandies.  PPG causes a small drop in the rankings.  Still think this team is dangerous, however the league seems to not show as much respect as there is some disparity in the coaches poll.  This weeks game vs Doh will be a good chance to show how strong this team really is.


4.  ^  THE 619ERS  (1-0/1-0) 136 ppg  [4]
Off to a great start.  Should be a very good match-up this week vs TA.  

5.  ^  INDIGOPALMSSUCKS  (1-0/1-0)  165 ppg  [3]
Huge move for IP up the charts.  It is really great to see him take control of the Cocoon division early. Has the "Big Game" this week vs rival Buckeyes. 

6.  ^  BUCKEYES  (1-0/1-0) 137 ppg  [5]
I was skeptical last week of the #11 ranking, now the commish is eatin' crow.  This weeks 2nd biggest chart climber....Should've known better.


7.  v  KILLA CALI  (0-1/0-1) 136 ppg  [7]
A very wise man said, "not use to a weak KC D".  Couldn't agree more man.

8.  v  COCOON OF HORROR  (0-1/0-1) 125 ppg  [9]
Not the greatest opening week but not a bad effort.  Needs some "tweaking".  A chance to get back on track with Sole up. 

9.  ^  D'OH BOYS  (0-1/0-1)  133 ppg  [8]
I know its early, but like Haters and IP it is really great to see these guys starting off well. 


10.  v  GO HEELS!  (0-1/0-1) 125 ppg  [10]
That got ugly quick, no penalization for that loss.  She would've beaten 7 other teams this week.

11.  ^  JERU (RIP)  (1-0/1-0)  142 ppg  [6]
Not trying to be disrespectful here but this is another commish vs coaches gap. I think I will need to see some offense output to show that this team is for real.

12.  v  THE AGENCY  (1-0/1-0) 115 ppg  [13]
Nice to grab the win in week 1, the first win is always the hardest.  However you shouldn't get to comfortable getting wins with 115 point efforts.  Will definitely need to beat the 619ers to try and get control of their division.
 
13.  v  D's NUTZ  (0-1/0-1) 108 ppg  [14]
Very slow week for the Nutz offense.  Should be able to get a better gauge on offensive output after week 2.  Will have a chance to get back on track vs the 16th ranked Two-Times.

14.  v  BLIND MONKEYS  (0-1/0-1) 96 ppg  [16]
Not sure what happened last week but a huge fall for the Monkeys.

15.  v  TRUESOLE  (0-1/0-1)  116 ppg  [12]
Coaches still believing in Sole, a win vs Cocoon will begin to convince me. 

16.  -  TWO-TIMES  (0-1/0-1) 114 ppg  [15]
A learning experience for sure.  The rookie is starting to make moves and adjustments.  Will be nice to see if he can turn it around this week vs  Nutz.

*** GAME OF THE WEEK***

#1 $Hail-Mary$  vs. #7 KILLA CALI
 Should be a high scoring match-up in the very heated rivalry.

#8 Cocoon of Horror  vs. #15 TrueSole
You are probably thinking,  "huh???"  But a loss by either will leave them at 0-2 in a very competitive division.  This is a big game.

#5 IndigoPalmsSucks  vs. #6 Buckeyes
Should be interesting match-up.  I know its early but this could have some huge impact later on.
